Michael Bozoian

Director

Michael grew up in the Detroit area and played Minor Hockey for Little Caesars and Compuware.  From there he went on to play 3 years of Tier II Junior A in the North American League.  He was selected to two straight All-Star Teams in the NAHL and won the “fastest skater competition” in his last year of Junior A hockey at the All-Star Game.  He played Division I college hockey in New York, and left college after his Junior season to play professional hockey in Germany, then in the ECHL and CHL. 

 Michael was a skating and skills instructor for several years at various hockey schools around the Detroit area, including Suburban Hockey Schools, Thunderbird Hockey School, LaFontaine Hockey School, and Wiedenbach Hockey School.  

 After “retiring” from professional hockey, Michael moved back to Indianapolis, where he attended Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law, and graduated in 2010.  He currently practices law at Sauce, Tardy, Overpeck, & Bozoian in Noblesville, IN.  Mike has coached various youth hockey teams in the Indianapolis area, and currently has three kids that play in the Junior Fuel hockey organization.

Justin Whited

Lead Puck Skills Instructor

Coach Justin played for the Indianapolis Racers and won a National Championship with their ’98 team. Justin also played for the U16 AAA Indiana Jr Ice. Whited also played summer and spring hockey for West Coast Selects and Bauer Selects. Justin is currently the Assistant Coach for the U14 AAA Indy Jr Fuel. At the Ice Barn Justin runs the Breakfast Club and select skills sessions.

Dakota Eveland

Coach

Dakota, who in addition to his excellent team-coaching resume, is a noted skills coach. Coach Eveland comes to Ice Barn from Anaheim, CA, where he has been coaching for the past 10 years. During this time, Dakota has worked with AAA, USHL, BCHL, NCAA D1, and AHL, Swedish Elite League, KHL, and NHL players.
Dakota’s background includes Biomechanics, Analytics, Video Review and Analysis. Dakota’s specialization is in stick-handling, shooting and skating skills.
Before coaching, Coach Eveland played for the USHL’s Omaha Lancers, Colorado College Tigers (NCAA D1), and he medaled for the USA National team in both roller and ice.

Nick Johnsen

Ice Barn Lead Goalie Instructor Nick Johnsen has learned from the best. For the past five summers, Johnsen, a native of St. Charles, Missouri, has studied under one of the best and most highly-respected goaltending coaches in the world, Mitch Korn. Korn, currently Director of Goaltending Development for the New York Islanders, has helped mold some of the best to ever play the game, including Pekka Rinne, Dominik Hasek, and Braden Holtby As a goalie-coaching disciple of Korn’s, it is Johnsen’s aim to turn Ice Barn into a hotbed for netminders, where they can really push themselves to their limits and develop their game. Nick has been the Director of Goaltending Development for the IYHA for the past three seasons, before moving to Indianapolis Johnsen was hired by other youth hockey organizations to run pop-up goalie clinics in Idaho Falls, ID, and Greenville, SC. Nick also used to work for Pure Hockey in Chesterfield, MO as the local Goalie Product Manager after, playing ACHA DII/DIII Hockey for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUe).
