Skate Shape

We have two options for skate shapes, Radius of Hollow (ROH) & Flat Bottom-V (FBV).

Rusty Steel

This steel has significant rust buildup from improper drying of the skate. This will effect the performance of the skate. This is an easy and avoidable fix.

Clean Steel

This is the rusty skate after being sharpened.. The goal is to have a smooth mirror like finish.

Unlevel Edges

Notice how one side of the level is higher than the other? This can dramatically effect the way the skates feel on the ice. The skater may describe their skates as such: "slipping" "loosing an edge". Once again this is an easy fix for our experienced sharpeners!

Level Edges

Same skates from picture 3. This is how your edges should look after being sharpened! Inside and outside edges are the same height.

Bad Finish

This is a very poor skate sharpening finish. You can see the waves and discoloration of the steel. This will cause more friction and a rough feel for the ice.
